CCM Ribcor Trigger 2 Stick
Later this year, CCM Hockey will introduce a refresh to their Ribcor line of sticks and leading the way will be the all new CCM Ribcor Trigger 2 stick. With an updated taper and flex ratio, the Ribcor Trigger 2 stick promises to be the best Trigger yet.
The all-new CCM Ribcor Trigger 2 stick will be constructed using Popmatrix technology with a re-engineered taper. The shaft has been engineered for performance, and manufactured using the lowest fiber areal weight carbon in the industry. This helps to optimize performance, minimize weight, and maximize strength. Sigmatex material is also used throughout the shaft. This spread tow fabric was developed exclusively by a world leader in composite technology, and not only is this material lightweight, but it is also incredibly strong due to its high tension weaving process.
The new taper geometry in the CCM Ribcor Trigger 2 PMT will offer a much more smooth transition area which will help to maximize bending and ultimately transfer the energy stored much more efficiently than before. Ease of loading and quickness of release are also going to be improved with the updated taper, making this one of the quickest releasing sticks on the market.
The flex ratio and profile have also been adjusted on the CCM Ribcor Trigger 2 stick. An optimized vertical flex profile will allow you, as the shooter, to move the puck into a shooting position with greater ease. In other words, you can bring your stick closer to your body when loading a shot, and then explode out on the release much more efficiently.
Additionally, CCM has used data acquired from their excellent performance lab to create an enhanced flex zone in the upper third of the shaft of the Ribcor Trigger 2 stick. This adjustment will allow you to store even more energy in the upper and lower parts of the shaft which creates what CCM calls a crossbow effect while shooting.
Down into the blade of the CCM Ribcor Trigger 2 stick you will find an Ascent Blade 3 being used. This updated blade is lighter and features a tactile surface for heightened puck feel. It also provides added reinforcement in the heel and toe.
The updates on the CCM Ribcor Trigger 2 stick will make it an absolute beast, even more so than the original Trigger stick. You can expect the new Trigger 2 stick to hit stores later this year.
