2017 Bauer Vapor 1X Skates

Coming later this year, Bauer Hockey will be releasing the all new 2017 Bauer Vapor 1X skates.

The 2017 Bauer Vapor 1X skates will feature some great technology and nice upgrades. They will start with a 3D lasted Curv composite upper for strength and stability in the boot. Being a Vapor series skate, the quarter package will also feature Bauer’s X-Rib pattern as well as comfort edge padding. There will also be Curv composite heel and ankle support built in.

Inside the boot is an all new Lock-Fit Pro liner. This liner not only works to keep your feet dry, but also helps to keep them locked in place for top of the line agility, acceleration, and power transfer. Lightweight memory foam ankle pads will be used to help maximize comfort inside the boot as well.

Bauer will also be introducing a new tongue in the 2017 Bauer Vapor 1X skates. The Flex-Lock Pro tongue is all about fit, flex, and protection. The design of the tongue helps to create a locked-in fit, while providing ample forward flex with each stride, and offers increased protection against shots as well as lace bite.

To go right along with that, Bauer has redesigned the one piece lacing system on the 2017 Bauer Vapor 1X skates. The new Lock-Fit Pro system offers a t-shape on the second and third eyelets, as well as a softer design for the injected lacing system. The softer design will increase flex and for improved forward flex and improved agility.

Bauer will continue to utilize the Bauer Speed Plate on the 2017 Vapor 1X skates. Both the Speed Plate and the upper will be fully thermoformable for an exceptional customized fit.

Beneath the boot, you will find a full carbon composite outsole with added ventilation. The 2017 Bauer 1X skates will be mounted on Tuuk Lightspeed Edge holders and will utilize Tuuk LS4 stainless steel runners.
