CCM Signs Top Draft Pick Nico Hischier
Last week CCM Hockey agreed to terms on a deal with #1 overall draft pick Nico Hischier to join their impressive list of NHL players and brand ambassadors.
Hischier was selected first overall by the New Jersey Devils in the NHL Draft last Friday. He will have plenty of opportunity to show off his CCM gear this fall when he laces up the skates for Devils and helps to lead their turnaround.

MONTREAL, QC – CCM Hockey is pleased to announce that Nico Hischier, the highly-touted Swiss center and projected top pick in the upcoming 2017 NHL Draft, has decided to exclusively use CCM equipment to start his NHL career. Hischier joins an impressive roster of CCM athletes including Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Carey Price, John Tavares, Brent Burns and Patrice Bergeron, to name a few.
A native of Naters, Switzerland, Hischier is considered the best player coming out of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this year. He posted 38 goals, 48 assists and 86 points for the Halifax Mooseheads in 57 combined regular season games. During the preliminary round of the 2017 World Junior Championship, Hischier’s overtime goal led the Swiss National team to victory against the Czech Republic. In a total of only 5 games, the impressive forward scored a total of 4 goals and contributed 3 assists.
“I am honored to partner with CCM Hockey and join a roster of such talented players,” Hischier said. “I have worn CCM gear for a long time. The brand has a clear focus on technology and innovation, and their equipment allows me to perform at my highest level on the ice.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome Nico to the CCM team”, said Sean Williams, Vice President, Global Marketing and North American Sales, CCM Hockey. “He’s a competitor and inspiring player who shares common values with the CCM brand. As a young player, Hischier will provide a fresh look into the world of development of equipment and performance.”
As part of the partnership, Hischier will play a key role in providing valuable feedback and insight to CCM that will help the leading manufacturer continue to push the boundaries of technology and innovation in its products. As a CCM-affiliated athlete, Nico will play and train in CCM equipment, participate in the brand’s many community-based initiatives and be featured in product marketing campaigns throughout the year.
